Vorbereitet wird hier nicht Distanz, sondern Steilheit.","The DoloMythsRun Skyrace asks one question: how fast can you get from Piaz Marconi in Canazei at 1,450 metres to the summit of Piz Boè at 3,152 metres and back down. Ten kilometres up, twelve down, over tracks, scree and a summit pyramid rigged with fixed ropes. What you prepare for here is steepness, not distance.",{"de":185,"en":186},"Vom Dorfplatz aus beginnt der Anstieg praktisch sofort. Das Feld bleibt klein, 2026 kamen rund 240 Läuferinnen und Läufer in die Wertung.","The climbing starts almost from the village square. From kilometre 1.2 a single seven-kilometre ascent averaging about 18 per cent and holding 1,260 metres of vertical takes you over Passo Pordoi (2,239 m) up to Forcella Pordoi (2,829 m). Then comes the summit ramp: 1.7 kilometres at 16 per cent to the Capanna Piz Fassa on Piz Boè. From there the race flips entirely, and twelve kilometres of descent run past Rifugio Boè (2,871 m), down through Val Lasties (2,300 m) and over Pian Schiavaneis back to Canazei.\n\nThe ground underfoot is mountain trail, alpine track and scree, flagged rather than fenced, with aid taken at the huts themselves. The organiser grades the route EE, a route for experienced mountain walkers: there are exposed passages that are not continuously protected by fixed ropes. The Piz Boè pyramid, by contrast, is almost entirely rigged with fixed ropes, which is why poles are barred there. Folding poles go into the pack, rigid poles are handed over at Forcella Pordoi and carried back down from Passo Pordoi. Two public roads, the SR48 at the Pordoi and the SS242 at Pian Schiavaneis, stay open to traffic during the race.\n\nThe numbers are as lopsided as that sounds: 21.8 kilometres, roughly 1,800 metres of ascent and the same again of descent, with barely three per cent of the course flat. Almost 40 per cent of it is steep uphill and a good 30 per cent steep downhill. The field stays small, with around 240 finishers classified in 2026.",{"de":188,"en":189},"Das Rennen zerfällt in zwei Hälften mit völlig verschiedenen Anforderungen. The race splits into two halves with entirely different demands. At an average of 18 per cent the climb is a hike for almost everybody, not a run: do not chase the lower switchbacks, find a pole rhythm you can hold for ninety minutes or more. The cutoffs are tight, 2h30 at Forcella Pordoi and 3h30 at Rifugio Boè, but going above threshold on the lower half leaves you stranded in thin air above 2,800 metres.\n\nThe race is decided on the way down. Twelve kilometres with more than 30 per cent of their length in steep descent, on scree and narrow paths, punish the quadriceps harder than the climb does, and anyone still actively running rather than braking takes back what they saved lower on the mountain. The transition itself is the critical point: you hand over your poles on the summit pyramid, the fixed ropes and oncoming traffic dictate your speed, and then you have to run again immediately.\n\nThe classic trap is altitude. Between Forcella Pordoi, the summit and Rifugio Boè you spend several kilometres above 2,800 metres, where power drops noticeably and breathing sets the pace. Conditions change with it: wind and, in July, cold or thunderstorms up top, full sun on the last kilometres in the valley.",{"de":191,"en":192},"Rechne je nach Niveau mit gut zweieinhalb bis fünf Stunden; das Zeitlimit liegt bei 5h30. Wer kann, sammelt vorher Zeit oberhalb von 2.500 Metern und testet Windjacke, Griffigkeit der Schuhsohlen und den Stockwechsel unter realen Bedingungen statt am Renntag.","Expect anything from around two and a half to five hours depending on your level, with a 5h30 time limit. The demand is not a steady endurance run: it is one long, hard climbing block just under threshold followed by a descent that loads the legs eccentrically. The 21.8 kilometres of distance will barely register.\n\nThe single most important thing to train is steep uphill hiking with poles, not uphill running. At almost 18 per cent average and far steeper in places, rhythm on foot wins, and it needs to be practised for an hour at a stretch, ideally on ramps of 15 to 25 per cent. Add strength endurance for calves and hip flexors, because driving poles through 1,700 metres of vertical works the upper body too.\n\nThe second focus is descending. Scree fields, gravel gullies and narrow paths demand sure footing and eccentric durability, so long downhill runs under fatigue, deliberately placed at the end of a hard session, are worth more here than another interval set. If fixed ropes are unfamiliar territory, spend time on easy exposed ground beforehand: the EE grading is meant seriously, and a head for heights cannot be improvised on race day.\n\nConditions are high alpine. The summit sits at 3,152 metres, several kilometres run above 2,800, and in July the weather up there can turn from summer to storm within an hour while the valley stays in the sun. If you can, spend time above 2,500 metres beforehand and test your wind shell, your outsole grip and the pole handover under real conditions rather than on race Fassa Trail ist die lange Runde des DoloMyths Run: 42,5 Kilometer rund um Canazei, mit dem Viel dal Pan als Herzstück, dem Höhenweg, der die gesamte Nordflanke gegenüber der Marmolata entlangführt. The loop starts on Piaz Marconi and runs up-valley first, on side roads and paths through Alba and Penia to Pian Trevisan. There the old military road takes over, climbing over Col dal Baranchie to the Fedaia lake and the aid station at kilometre 12. Across the dam and along the old link towards Belluno the course reaches Padon and then the Viel dal Pan, the full ridge traverse to Passo Pordoi at kilometre 25.5. After the drop to Lupo Bianco in the Pian Frataces comes the real sting of the day: the old Trento to Bolzano road up to Col Rodella, nearly five kilometres at 13 per cent for around 650 metres from kilometre 31. After that, only the descent to Canazei remains.\n\nThe ground keeps changing: surfaced valley lanes, historic military roads, alpine pasture and the narrow, often stony crest of the Viel dal Pan with the Marmolada and its glacier directly opposite. Three roads stay open to traffic, the SS641 at the Fedaia, the SS48 at the Pordoi and the SS242 at Pian Schiavaneis. The organisation provides no cups, semi-self-sufficiency applies, and the mandatory kit list is correspondingly long: pack, at least a litre of water, first-aid kit, survival blanket, whistle, food reserve, waterproof shell, long trousers, gloves and hat.\n\nMeasured, it is 41.97 kilometres with roughly 2,400 metres of climbing spread over eight ascents rather than one big one. Around 57 metres of vertical per kilometre sounds moderate, but it is distributed very unevenly: the loop alternates constantly between short, very steep ramps and long runnable stretches.",{"de":388,"en":389},"Anders als beim Skyrace liegt hier nicht ein Anstieg im Zentrum, sondern die Verteilung über den ganzen Tag. Wer bis dahin diszipliniert gefahren ist, läuft die letzte Abfahrt nach Canazei; wer die erste Hälfte überzogen hat, geht sie.","Unlike the Skyrace, this course is not built around one climb but around how you spread yourself over the day. The opening section to the Fedaia is seductive: good tracks, moderate gradient and a 2h30 cutoff most people clear comfortably. That is exactly where the day gets lost, if you run the short 20 per cent ramps at kilometres 7.5 and 8.6 instead of walking them.\n\nThe Viel dal Pan is the section that gains or costs time. The crest is runnable for long stretches but narrow, stony and open to the wind; find a steady rhythm there and you reach the Pordoi with far fresher legs than someone switching constantly between hiking and running. Fuelling is on you: there are 13.5 kilometres between the Fedaia and the Pordoi with nothing in between.\n\nThe race is decided on Col Rodella. Climbing another 650 metres in one go after 30 kilometres, with the eight-hour cutoff behind you, splits the field sharply. Ride the first half with discipline and you run the final descent into Canazei; overspend it and you walk.",{"de":391,"en":392},"Für die meisten Startenden sind das sechs bis neun Stunden auf den Beinen, das Limit liegt bei zehn. For most starters this is six to nine hours on the feet, against a ten-hour limit. The demand is mixed aerobic work with a lot of short, very intense spikes: eight climbs, one of them 650 metres in a single push and several short ramps beyond 19 per cent, separated by long runnable sections where the heart rate has to come back down.\n\nTraining therefore needs both. Long runs of four to six hours at endurance pace form the base, but they have to contain the switches: 20 to 40 minutes of runnable ground, then a steep ramp hiked, then straight back to running. That change of rhythm is the actual skill this loop asks for, and it cannot be trained on flat long runs.\n\nThe race-deciding element is climbing on tired legs. Col Rodella arrives after 30 kilometres, and anyone who has never simulated that state in training underestimates how much slower 13 per cent feels by then. Put the main climb at the end of your long sessions, not at the start.\n\nSelf-sufficiency comes on top. There are up to 13.5 kilometres between the three aid stations, no cups are handed out, and the mandatory kit of water, shell, long trousers and first-aid gear has real weight. Train with the pack you will race in and practise eating on the move. July in the Dolomites delivers both sides: heat in the Val di Fassa, and wind, cloud or thunderstorms on the open crest between Padon and the Pordoi, often within the same hour.",{"raceName":394,"kind":17,"hasTrack":18,"composedLegs":19,"startDate":195,"leg":19,"legGroup":19,"distanceInMeters":395,"elevationGainInMeters":396,"format":23,"profile":397,"intro":550,"description":553,"pacing":556,"training":559},"DoloMythsRun 12K Trail",12000,867,{"classification":25,"routeShape":398,"totalAscentM":396,"totalDescentM":399,"netElevationM":400,"vertPerKm":401,"climbs":402,"remainingVertM":55,"gradientDistribution":438,"downsampledProfile":441,"trackPolyline":549},"point_to_point",237,631,75.1,[403,409,414,419,425,431],{"startKm":28,"lengthKm":404,"avgGradientPct":405,"maxGradientPct":406,"elevGainM":407,"score":408,"category":19},0.65,3.9,7.3,25,2532,{"startKm":204,"lengthKm":69,"avgGradientPct":410,"maxGradientPct":411,"elevGainM":412,"score":413,"category":38},7.6,16.4,85,8540,{"startKm":57,"lengthKm":218,"avgGradientPct":415,"maxGradientPct":416,"elevGainM":417,"score":418,"category":38},15,29.4,139,13889,{"startKm":420,"lengthKm":28,"avgGradientPct":421,"maxGradientPct":422,"elevGainM":423,"score":424,"category":19},6.25,4.1,8.7,41,4133,{"startKm":410,"lengthKm":426,"avgGradientPct":427,"maxGradientPct":428,"elevGainM":429,"score":430,"category":54},0.88,20.8,32.4,182,18210,{"startKm":432,"lengthKm":433,"avgGradientPct":434,"maxGradientPct":435,"elevGainM":436,"score":437,"category":54},8.63,1.48,21.2,45.2,313,31299,{"flatPct":410,"upPct":249,"downPct":439,"steepUpPct":61,"steepDownPct":440},15.2,10,[442,444,447,450,453,455,457,460,462,465,468,471,474,477,480,483,485,488,490,493,496,498,501,504,507,509,511,514,516,519,521,524,527,530,532,534,537,540,543,546],{"km":55,"elevM":443},1454,{"km":445,"elevM":446},0.3,1443,{"km":448,"elevM":449},0.6,1445,{"km":451,"elevM":452},0.9,1448,{"km":454,"elevM":64},1.18,{"km":433,"elevM":456},1467,{"km":458,"elevM":459},1.78,1475,{"km":461,"elevM":459},2.08,{"km":463,"elevM":464},2.38,1483,{"km":466,"elevM":467},2.68,1510,{"km":469,"elevM":470},2.95,1532,{"km":472,"elevM":473},3.25,1561,{"km":475,"elevM":476},3.55,1570,{"km":478,"elevM":479},3.85,1627,{"km":481,"elevM":482},4.15,1683,{"km":484,"elevM":373},4.45,{"km":486,"elevM":487},4.75,1672,{"km":89,"elevM":489},1676,{"km":491,"elevM":492},5.33,1654,{"km":494,"elevM":495},5.63,1639,{"km":497,"elevM":492},5.93,{"km":499,"elevM":500},6.23,1658,{"km":502,"elevM":503},6.53,1666,{"km":505,"elevM":506},6.8,1675,{"km":41,"elevM":508},1690,{"km":510,"elevM":373},7.4,{"km":512,"elevM":513},7.7,1688,{"km":515,"elevM":75},8,{"km":517,"elevM":518},8.3,1825,{"km":224,"elevM":520},1838,{"km":522,"elevM":523},8.88,1904,{"km":525,"elevM":526},9.18,1953,{"km":528,"elevM":529},9.48,2004,{"km":531,"elevM":297},9.78,{"km":533,"elevM":335},10.07,{"km":535,"elevM":536},10.38,2104,{"km":538,"elevM":539},10.65,2076,{"km":541,"elevM":542},10.95,2078,{"km":544,"elevM":545},11.25,2092,{"km":547,"elevM":548},11.55,2085,"sntzG_`zfAbBFz@eBHhBrAbDjAn@`By@rB{FfDqElBuExBcQn@gBvDsDjCyFpD_FpGmAr@yBhHwItLyG`CyBz@kBjBkA|D}HxBoAtAkEdBwB`DqAvCmQJaMm@yCWwIT}CyBg@yAaF@{IkBqCa@_BLyAi@wAeAzA@_A}A}CRqHc@oFPeAQiHuDwDxEcCrAsCWeWbCyJn@iAvAk@v@vE]iDPwA~BeCjAoD_Igd@cBmO}CyGz@qK_@aKmBcGyAiI{BaD~@}Cj@cGhEqAlADwAoApDa@oBoAtBs@mA[~EgByBa@p@aA_BP~@{@aAFd@y@qAyAeC|DyCF{AYv@O}@eAU}AfC|@{AoETK~BnCeAaCi@kD`AhBe@oBrAZ\\wAcAVnB}CjB[PoDr@m@KcAl@BlAqDzC}CxBCxAkAtAsIzCsEEk@kAQgAqA|@aNcD_HQuC?eOp@eEIsDg@yBXcBc@uAhBgDl@mC",{"de":551,"en":552},"Der 12K Trail des DoloMyths Run ist der einzige Wettbewerb des Wochenendes, der nicht in Canazei endet, sondern oben am Fedaiasee. Up to there it is mostly runnable, with two short ramps at kilometres 2.1 and 3.4, the second of them 900 metres at 15 per cent.\n\nFrom kilometre 7.6 the character changes completely. The old military road over Col dal Baranchie climbs to the Fedaia lake in two blocks of 880 and 1,480 metres, each averaging around 21 per cent, together almost 500 metres of vertical in a little over two kilometres. Measured, the course is 11.6 kilometres with 867 metres of ascent, finishing 631 metres higher than it starts, with only 237 metres of descent in total.\n\nThe finish sits at roughly 2,050 metres by the reservoir below the Marmolada, a distinctly rougher place than the village square where the race began. Despite the 12K Junior label in the organiser's site navigation, this is an adult race: the 2027 regulations set the same minimum age of 18 and the same Italian competitive medical certificate as the other two events.",{"de":557,"en":558},"Das Profil erzwingt eine sehr ungleiche Einteilung. The profile forces a very uneven plan. The first seven kilometres are fast, but they are not the race: run them at race pace and you hit the wall at kilometre 7.6, where two blocks of around 21 per cent begin. That is hiking terrain for essentially everybody, and the only question is how fast you hike.\n\nThere is no aid station at all. With a three-hour limit that is irrelevant for the front of the field, but a genuine planning problem for everyone else: every drop of water and every calorie is carried from Canazei. Because the climb sits at the end, thirst peaks exactly where nothing more is coming.\n\nThe trap is the finish itself. The course climbs net and ends at 2,050 metres by the lake, not down in the valley: there is no recovery descent in which a fast start can still be salvaged, and the final kilometre is the second steepest on the course. Add the change in weather between valley floor and dam wall, where even in July it is markedly cooler and windier than at the start.",{"de":560,"en":561},"Je nach Niveau sind das etwa 70 Minuten bis knapp drei Stunden, das Limit liegt bei drei. The demand splits in two and is unusually hard for such a short race: a briskly runnable first part at the top of the endurance range, then one continuous strength-endurance block of around 500 metres of vertical in which the heart rate stays high and the legs work for minutes at a time with no recovery.\n\nThe training emphasis follows directly: steep uphill repeats of eight to twenty minutes on ramps of 15 to 25 per cent, alternating hiking and running, deliberately placed at the end of a session once the legs have already covered ground. Flat tempo running prepares you for very little of this.\n\nDownhill work is barely needed. With 237 metres of descent in twelve kilometres the 12K is the opposite of the Skyrace, and runners coming from the road tend to underestimate footing rather than braking: the old military road is gravel, water channels and loose stone, on gradients that already force short strides.\n\nConditions and kit belong in the plan. With no aid station you have to practise running with a bottle or a small pack without losing time on the flat opening. And because the finish sits a good 600 metres higher than the start, you need warm clothing for the time after crossing the line at the Fedaia lake, however summery it was down in Canazei.",[563],{"eventName":6,"eventDate":9,"eventHomepageUrl":11},[565,575,583,591,600,609],{"slug":566,"eventName":567,"proseName":568,"city":571,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":572,"distanceInMeters":573,"elevationGainInMeters":574,"classification":25},"ratschings-mountain-trail","Ratschings Mountain Trail 2027",{"de":569,"en":570},"Ratschinger Mountain Trail","Ratschings Mountain Trail","Ratschings","2027-06-19T00:00:00.000Z",27000,1610,{"slug":576,"eventName":577,"proseName":578,"city":579,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":580,"distanceInMeters":581,"elevationGainInMeters":582,"classification":25},"drei-zinnen-alpine-run","Südtirol Drei Zinnen Alpine Run",{"de":577,"en":577},"Sexten","2026-09-12T00:00:00.000Z",17900,1354,{"slug":584,"eventName":585,"proseName":586,"city":587,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":588,"distanceInMeters":589,"elevationGainInMeters":590,"classification":25},"garda-trentino-xmas-trail","Garda Trentino Xmas Trail",{"de":585,"en":585},"Torbole","2026-12-12T00:00:00.000Z",30000,1405,{"slug":592,"eventName":593,"proseName":594,"city":595,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":596,"distanceInMeters":597,"elevationGainInMeters":598,"classification":599},"marcialonga-running","Marcialonga Running Coop",{"de":593,"en":593},"Moena","2026-09-05T00:00:00.000Z",26500,153,"ROLLING",{"slug":601,"eventName":602,"proseName":603,"city":604,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":605,"distanceInMeters":606,"elevationGainInMeters":607,"classification":608},"garda-trentino-half-marathon","Garda Trentino Half Marathon",{"de":602,"en":602},"Riva del Garda","2026-11-08T00:00:00.000Z",21097,137,"FLAT",{"slug":610,"eventName":611,"proseName":612,"city":614,"country":8,"eventType":13,"eventDate":615,"distanceInMeters":606,"elevationGainInMeters":616,"classification":608},"la-mezza-di-treviso","La Mezza di Treviso International Half Marathon",{"de":613,"en":613},"La Mezza di Treviso","Treviso","2026-10-11T00:00:00.000Z",93,1789876045702]
