Connect YOUB to Claude

Claude reads your sessions, your plan and your recovery data — and writes new sessions into the plan — as soon as YOUB is added as a custom connector. Web, desktop and Claude Code all take the same URL.

Before you start

  • A Claude account that may add custom connectors. On a personal plan that is Settings → Connectors; in a team or company workspace an owner adds it once for everyone.
  • Claude on the web, the desktop app, or Claude Code. Added once on your account, the connector is there in your conversations.
  • The YOUB app, set up, with your data sources connected. You confirm the connection there, and it is your synced sessions Claude works with.

Setup, step by step

    Open Settings → Connectors

    In Claude, go to Settings and then Connectors — the list of everything your account may talk to.

    Add a custom connector with https://mcp.youb.app

    Choose to add a custom connector and paste the URL. No API key, no token: the URL is the whole configuration.

  3. 03

    Confirm the connection in the YOUB app

    Claude sends you through OAuth and a QR code appears. Scan it with your phone, check in the YOUB app what is being asked for — reading only, or writing as well — and confirm with the six-digit code. Phone not at hand? An emailed code works too.

  4. 04

    Ask, in the chat you already use

    The YOUB tools now show up in your conversations. Ask about yesterday's session, or ask for next week — with write access granted, the sessions land in your plan and go on to your watch.

Claude Code

Run this once in Claude Code, then `/mcp` to sign in — the same QR code and six-digit confirmation as in the browser.

When it does not work

Claude does not use the YOUB tools
Check that the connector is switched on for that conversation in the tools menu, and ask concretely: “what did my last run look like in YOUB” gets there, “how is my training going” often does not.
I cannot add a connector in my company account
Team and Enterprise workspaces keep connectors in the organisation settings, where only an owner or admin adds one. Once they have added YOUB, it appears for everyone in the workspace.
The connection stopped working
Access expires, and a disconnect in the YOUB app ends it for good. Reconnect the connector in Claude and confirm once more in the app.
Claude Code does not find the server
`claude mcp list` shows what is registered, and `/mcp` inside a session shows the connection state and lets you sign in again. The `--transport http` part matters: YOUB is a remote HTTP server, not a local command.
